Please read these terms carefully before entering a competition

These Terms and Conditions apply to competitions and promotions operated on TheBonusBall.co.uk. By entering any competition, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.

1. Overview

TheBonusBall (“we”, “us”, “our” and the “Promoter”) operates skill-based prize competitions and promotions through the Website. By entering a Competition, you agree to these Terms, the Competition Rules and any specific information displayed on the relevant Competition page.

2. Eligibility

• Competitions are open to individuals aged 18 or over.
• Entrants must be resident in the United Kingdom.
• Employees of the Promoter and anyone professionally connected with a Competition may not be eligible to enter.
• We may require proof of age, identity and address before awarding any prize.

3. Skill-based entry requirement

Competitions are operated as skill-based prize competitions. Where a Competition includes a skill question or entry requirement, your entry is valid only where it is completed in accordance with the instructions shown on that Competition page.

• You must submit your answer personally without automated systems or scripts.
• You must answer any required skill question correctly where applicable.
• Your entry must be recorded as valid in our systems.
• We may void entries that we reasonably believe were submitted using automation, collusion or attempts to bypass the skill requirement.

4. How to enter

Paid website entry

Follow the on-screen steps to select a Competition, complete any skill requirement, choose an entry or number and complete payment. Your entry is confirmed when it is visible in your account or otherwise recorded as valid in our systems.

Free postal entry

You may enter eligible Competitions free of charge by post. You must have, or create, a Website account first. Full postal entry instructions are shown in Section 12 below.

5. Competition details, pricing and limits

• Each Competition page states the prize, entry price where applicable, scheduled draw date, ticket closing time and entry limits.
• Entry limits apply per person per Competition unless stated otherwise.
• We may remove excess entries and issue a refund where appropriate.
• We may refuse or disqualify entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, abusive or in breach of these Terms.

6. Closing dates and rollover

• Each Competition displays a scheduled draw date linked to an official UK Lotto draw.
• Ticket sales close at 7:30pm UK time on the scheduled draw date unless stated otherwise.
• Paid or postal entries received after the stated closing time may not be accepted.
• A Competition may close early where all available entries have been allocated or sold.
• Where rollover applies, this is stated on the relevant Competition page before entry.

6.1 Minimum entry threshold

If insufficient entries are received by 7:30pm UK time on a scheduled draw date, and this is stated on the relevant Competition page, the Promoter may:

• Extend the Competition to the next applicable UK Lotto draw.
• Offer a cash alternative based on a percentage of net entry revenue.
• Substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value where necessary.
• Cancel the Competition and refund paid entries where appropriate.

6.2 Bonus Ball rollover

Where a Bonus Ball Competition has not sold out or reached its required entry level before 7:30pm UK time on the scheduled draw date, and rollover applies, the Competition may roll over to the next applicable UK Lotto draw.

The updated draw date will be displayed on the Competition page. Valid entries remain active and carry forward unless the Competition is cancelled.

7. Winner selection

Winner selection depends on the Competition type and is explained on the relevant Competition page.

7.1 Bonus Ball competitions

For Bonus Ball Competitions, outcomes are based on the published official UK Lotto Bonus Ball results for the specified draw date.

Round 1 — Main Prize

Round 1 is used to determine the main prize winner. You win the advertised main prize where your chosen number matches the official published Round 1 UK Lotto Bonus Ball result.

Round 2 — Entry Fee Credit

Round 2 gives eligible entrants a second chance where they do not win the main prize in Round 1. Where your number matches the official published Round 2 UK Lotto Bonus Ball, your entry fee is returned as website credit.

• Round 2 website credit is separate from the advertised main prize.
• Round 2 does not award the main prize unless a Competition page clearly states otherwise.
• Website credit may be used towards future entries on TheBonusBall.co.uk.
• Website credit is subject to account rules, availability and these Terms.

7.2 Other competitions and mechanics

If we offer additional competition mechanics, including instant-win style mechanics, the entry method, prizes, eligibility, free-entry availability and specific rules will be displayed on the relevant Competition page before entry.

8. Winner notification and claim

• Winners are contacted using the details provided on their account or accepted postal entry.
• You are responsible for keeping your contact information accurate and up to date.
• We aim to contact main prize winners within 24 hours once the applicable result has been checked.
• We may request identity, age, address or eligibility checks before releasing a prize.
• Winners must provide requested verification information within a reasonable period.
• Where a winner cannot be contacted or does not meet the relevant requirements, we may treat the prize as unclaimed and take appropriate steps under the relevant Competition Rules.

9. Prizes

• Prizes are as described on the relevant Competition page.
• Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• Prize images are for illustration purposes unless stated otherwise.
• We may offer a prize of equal or greater value where the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control.
• Cash alternatives are only available where clearly stated on the relevant Competition page.

10. Refunds and cancellations

Competition entries are generally final once accepted. Refunds may be considered only in the circumstances set out in our Refund Policy, including where a Competition is cancelled, a payment has been taken incorrectly or a refund is required by applicable law.

• A change of mind after entry does not normally entitle you to a refund.
• No refund is issued solely because a Competition rolls over.
• No refund is issued because an entrant does not win a prize or Round 2 website credit.
• Where a Competition is cancelled, we will explain the available options to eligible entrants.

11. Website credit

Website credit may be issued as part of a Competition, including Round 2 entry fee credit where applicable. Website credit is added to the account linked to the eligible entry.

• Website credit may be used for future eligible entries on TheBonusBall.co.uk.
• Website credit is not normally transferable or withdrawable as cash.
• Website credit may be removed or adjusted where it was issued in error, through fraud or in connection with an invalid entry.
• We may apply reasonable expiry, use or account restrictions where displayed before use.

12. Free postal entry route

A free postal entry route is available for eligible Competitions. One free entry is permitted per envelope. Postal entries must arrive before the stated closing time.

• Include the Competition name.
• Include your full name, postal address, email address and telephone number.
• Include the answer to the skill question where applicable.
• Include the email address linked to your Website account.
• Send only one free entry per envelope.
• Accepted postal entries are included in the relevant Competition on the same basis as accepted paid entries.

13. Privacy and publicity

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By entering, you agree that we may use your information to administer the Competition, verify winners and fulfil prizes.

• We may publish winner information in a privacy-safe format where appropriate.
• We will not publish your full address or unnecessary personal information.
• We may ask for permission before using winner photographs, videos or testimonials for marketing.
• You may contact us about privacy concerns using the details on our Privacy Policy page.

14. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Subject to this, we are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for circumstances outside our reasonable control.

• We are not responsible for technical failures, network disruption or payment-provider outages outside our reasonable control.
• We are not responsible for lost, delayed or damaged postal entries.
• We are not responsible for incorrect contact details supplied by an entrant.
• We may delay, amend, suspend or cancel a Competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

15. General

• Our decision on the administration of a Competition is final, subject to applicable law.
• We may amend these Terms where reasonably necessary. Updated Terms will be published on this page.
• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable law states otherwise.
