Winner is selected

You win by matching the published Bonus Ball (7th ball) for the relevant draw date.

Draw rules & timing

Bonus Ball = the 7th ball drawn in the official UK National Lottery Lotto draw after the six main balls.

Entries close 7:30pm (UK time) on the draw day shown on the competition page, usually Wednesday or Saturday.

If no entry matches the Bonus Ball, the outcome is handled as stated in the Rules, such as a rollover or alternative method.

We reference publicly available results for transparency. TheBonusBall is not affiliated with or endorsed by The National Lottery.

If a competition doesn’t sell out

If a competition hasn’t sold out by closing time, it may roll over to the next applicable draw.

Your chosen number remains reserved for that competition while it rolls over, unless otherwise stated in the Rules.

The competition page always shows the current draw date and time the competition applies to.

After you enter

Your entry details are stored once accepted.

You’ll see entries in My Account.

You’ll also receive an email confirmation or receipt.

No more entries are accepted after the closing time for that draw.

Winner contact & fulfilment

We aim to contact winners within 24 hours once verified.

Physical prizes are sent using tracked delivery where applicable.

Cash prizes are paid after verification, as set out in the Rules.

ID or address checks may be required for some prizes to help prevent fraud.

Free postal entry

No purchase necessary — a free postal entry route is available.

Valid postal entries are treated the same as paid entries once accepted and recorded.
