How we protect fair, transparent and independently verifiable competitions
This page explains how TheBonusBall records entries, checks published results and protects the integrity of each competition. Our aim is to make the process clear, accountable and easy for entrants to understand.
Your two chances to win
Every valid Bonus Ball entry gives you two chances. Round 1 determines the winner of the main prize. Round 2 gives eligible non-winning entrants the chance to receive their entry fee back as website credit.
Both outcomes are checked against the relevant publicly published Lotto Bonus Ball result for the competition’s active draw date.
Transparent winner selection
TheBonusBall does not generate, select or alter winning draw outcomes. We reference publicly available results so entrants can independently check the relevant Bonus Ball.
- Round 1 is used only to determine the main prize winner.
- Round 2 is used only to determine entry fee website credit where applicable.
- Results are checked against the recorded eligible entry list.
- Competition rules are published before entry.
Fixed ticket number system
Bonus Ball competitions use ticket numbers 1–59. Each ticket number can only be assigned once per competition, helping prevent duplicate claims for the same number.
Entry records and audit trail
Paid and accepted postal entries are recorded for the relevant competition. Order and entry information is retained so outcomes can be reviewed, verified and investigated where needed.
- Entries are linked to the competition and chosen ticket number.
- Order records are retained for verification purposes.
- Entry status can be reviewed where a query or concern is raised.
- Free postal entries are treated equally once accepted and recorded.
Rollover fairness
If a competition has not sold out by the displayed closing time, it may roll over to the next applicable live draw. Valid entries remain active during the rollover unless clearly stated otherwise on the competition page.
No valid entry is removed or changed simply because a competition has rolled over.
Winner verification and fulfilment
Main prize winners are checked before fulfilment. We may request age, identity or eligibility information before a prize is released. Where possible, verified main prize winners are contacted within 24 hours.
Round 2 credit is added after the applicable result and entry record have been reviewed.
Public accountability
Completed main prize competitions may be featured on our Winners page in a privacy-safe format. This helps show that winners are genuine and prizes are fulfilled.
TheBonusBall is committed to operating fairly, transparently and in line with its published Competition Rules. Round 1 determines the main prize winner. Round 2 provides entry fee website credit where applicable. Where an issue is identified, relevant records will be reviewed and an appropriate outcome will be communicated.
